Qualitätskontrolle in der Elektronikfertigung: Von DFM bis Versand

September 27, 2026

Electronics manufacturing quality control works best when checkpoints are defined before production begins. Drawings, BOMs, acceptance criteria, test methods and change rules form the foundation. This guide outlines a practical route from requirement review and DFM through supplier selection, sample validation, production follow-up and shipment release.

Convert requirements into measurable criteria

Start with controlled technical files and identify the characteristics that determine fit, function and reliability. These may include dimensions, materials, electrical performance, workmanship, appearance, labeling and packaging. Each requirement should have a review method and an owner for approval.

Das quality coordination page shows how inspection and validation can be matched to project risk. Clear criteria make supplier quotations and sample decisions easier to compare.

Use DFM to remove ambiguity before production

DFM should identify incomplete dimensions, incompatible materials, process risks, test-access limitations and unclear specifications. Questions should be resolved against the customer’s approved data. Documented decisions reduce reliance on informal messages during production.

DFM applies across PCBA, wire harnesses, molded parts and assemblies. The depth of review depends on complexity and maturity of the design.

Match suppliers to the process and evidence required

Supplier selection should consider process capability, equipment, material control, inspection resources, volume fit, lead time and communication. A project that requires traceability or dedicated testing needs a route capable of producing the agreed evidence.

ECO ELECTRONICS uses a Hong Kong business platform, Shenzhen coordination and qualified manufacturing partners. Supplier selection is project-specific, as described on the Über uns page.

Validate samples against the released requirements

Sample approval should record measurements, material confirmation, test results, appearance findings and deviations. A golden sample can help with visual comparison, while drawings and specifications remain the controlled reference. Corrective actions should be closed before repeat production where applicable.

For multi-part products, confirm interfaces during sample validation. A board, harness, connector and housing may each pass separately while the assembled system exposes fit or routing issues. Review product assembly coordination for integration planning.

Control production changes and shipment release

Production follow-up should confirm the approved revision, materials, process checkpoints and inspection plan. Changes in source, Material, tooling, program or test method should be reviewed before implementation. Shipment release then follows the agreed inspection and documentation package.

Include packaging and export requirements in the control plan because damage or label errors can erase the value of good manufacturing. Use the RFQ guide to define these expectations before quotation.

RFQ checklist

  • Controlled drawings, BOMs and revision history
  • Critical characteristics and acceptance criteria
  • DFM questions and approved resolutions
  • Incoming, in-process and final inspection checkpoints
  • Sample validation and corrective-action records
  • Change control, traceability, packaging and shipment release

Frequently asked questions

What is the first quality-control step for a new project?

Requirement review comes first. Confirm controlled files, measurable acceptance criteria, open questions and the approval route before manufacturing begins.

Is final inspection enough?

Final inspection is one checkpoint. Incoming material control, process checks, testing and change management reduce the chance of defects reaching final inspection.

How should sample deviations be handled?

Record each deviation, its technical impact and the customer decision. Approved deviations should be traceable to the affected build and should not silently become the production standard.

Can ECO ELECTRONICS coordinate third-party inspection?

Inspection arrangements can be discussed according to project needs, supplier access and the required evidence. The exact scope should be confirmed in the quotation.

Discuss your project

Send drawings, BOMs, quantities, quality expectations and delivery requirements. ECO ELECTRONICS will review the scope and coordinate a suitable manufacturing route.
